very effective image one can only imagine...the russian front's tank and ural vehicles travelling in formation across such bridges in the times of Stalin and Lenin and into WW2 and the conquering of East Germany

These are some of my favourite landscapes :)

I have been reading today about the virgin-beech forests of the Carpathians and their scientific importance.

I hope to visit the region someday, looks like a great walking area ;)
